Shannon Cueva is the former Director of Shady Creek Outdoor School. Passionate about ensuring all children have access to nature-based learning, she continues to support Shady Creek through the Friends of Shady Creek Foundation. When she’s not advocating for outdoor education, Shannon enjoys adventuring in the outdoors and spending time with her family.

Zach is an IT professional and a dedicated community supporter in the Yuba-Sutter area. An avid sports enthusiast, Zach is passionate about teamwork, perseverance, and the positive impact of outdoor experiences. He is committed to helping students access the life-changing opportunities offered at Shady Creek Outdoor School.

Emily teacher at Johnson Park Elementary School. A yearly highlight is the unforgettable experience of attending Shady Creek with her students. She believes in the transformative power of outdoor education and is committed to helping more students access this opportunity. Beyond the classroom, Emily loves traveling and spending time with friends and family.

Laura Philips is a Senior Finance Analyst with a deep-rooted passion for Shady Creek Outdoor School. Having previously served as the school's accountant and later as the administrative assistant, Laura remains dedicated to supporting outdoor education and the Yuba-Sutter community. She thrives on social connections and loves outdoor adventures.

Lea comes from a family with a deep-rooted commitment to Shady Creek Outdoor School. Her father dedicated many years to serving on the Sutter County Board of Education and the Shady Creek Foundation. Lea was a student naturalist at Shady Creek, where she developed a strong passion for outdoor education. She is excited to continue her family’s tradition of service by helping more students experience the magic of Shady Creek.
